Stay at the "Rain Forest" with a view of the gorgeous water falls from your
bed room or the shower.

While at the Rainforest you will have a full day naturalist , who takes you
for a detail trekking of the region. You will visit the nearest tribal
village and can pick-up some garden fresh vegetables from there harvest. A
day angling is also possible at just few meters walk from your room to the
river located under the waterfalls. Trek to the base of the waterfalls, find
your way through the jungle or camp at the tick of the Sholayar forest are
other activities around the region. |

In the deep thick jungles lies vast animals that yet to be identified and it
kind of disheartening that these jungle of forest is rapidly been destroyed
by human through logging and fire. While this happening, it's very
interesting to know that there's some animals striving in their natural
habitats and developed new way to move along the thick jungle forests. You
may find one of these flying lizards while at the Rainforest situated in the
sholayar forest region of Kerala. |

That's the local tribal way to cook food, while on a long trip deep in to
the forest. They only carry bamboos cut to size and raw materials like rice
and meat or the local catch.
The food th at need to be cooked is dropped into the bamboo hull through a
one side opening and enough of water is also poured into. The bamboo log is
then placed into a slit fire for the same to get cooked in the heat and the
pressure built within. Cooked food is taken out by cut opening the bamboo. |
